Compassionate trauma-informed grief coaching to help you carry your loss and rediscover moments of peace, joy, and connection.

Grief changes everything

it can leave you feeling stuck, weighed down, or unsure how to keep moving.

Coaching offers gentle guidance and practical tools to help you navigate this new reality, not by erasing your grief, but by finding ways to live alongside it.

I’m Carley.
I know pain.
I know trauma.
I know grief.
And I also know healing, compassion, and the freedom that comes when grief no longer defines you.

For years, I wore fear like battle armour and it was exhausting. Heavy. Unrelenting.

As a trauma-informed, certified professional recovery coach, mother, widow, and survivor of complex trauma, I understand grief, I get it.

Grief coaching is a safe space where you’ll find understanding, gentle guidance, and maybe a few shared tears (and laughs) along the way to reaching your own personal goals.

Together, we’ll explore tools and practices that can help you release some of the weight you’ve been carrying, not by forgetting or “getting over it,” but by learning how to live fully, with joy, while still acknowledging the pain of your loss.

Join me in honouring your grief as we welcome in joy.

Carley

Why Coaching?

How can a grief coach help you?

Grief can feel overwhelming, isolating, and relentless. Coaching offers a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we’ll focus on practical tools and strategies to help you carry your loss in a way that allows room for peace, hope, meaning, and even moments of joy.

As a trauma-informed grief recovery coach, I can help you build resilience across the emotional, mental, physical, social, and spiritual areas of life. This work is forward-focused, empowering you to:

  • Recognise patterns or triggers that may be keeping you stuck

  • Develop coping strategies for difficult moments

This is not about “moving on” or forgetting your loss. It’s about learning to live fully while honouring your grief, discovering ways to carry it with more ease, and creating space for joy and connection to return.

Loss reshapes the world you once knew - how you see yourself, your relationships, and the path ahead.

Through compassionate, trauma-informed online coaching, you’ll find space to explore your loss, honour your story, and gently rediscover moments of peace and purpose.

Each session is a calm, grounded conversation, not about “fixing” your grief, but about walking alongside it with understanding and care. Connect from wherever you are, and together we’ll help you find steady ground in an unsteady time.

Some days it’s fierce, but over time, it’s become gentler,

on repeat. Your memory the undercurrent of my days.’

How did I get here?

After my husband died suddenly, I turned to the internet searching for understanding. I wanted to learn everything I could about grief - for my children and for myself.  What I really needed was others who truly understood - not just what to say, but how it feels to have your world obliterated.

I kept asking myself, Who am I now? What do I want, beyond simply surviving and taking care of my four kids?

When my husband became an organ donor, I held onto the idea that something good could come from something so tragic. I realised I needed that for myself too - to find a glimmer in the murky waters of loss, to create meaning from the pain.

A friend invited me to a recovery coaching webinar, and something clicked. Recovery coaching focused on helping people face pain instead of avoiding it and I realised that grief was one of the deepest forms of pain. Many of us grievers spend months trying to outrun it, not realising that healing begins when we stop resisting and allow ourselves to feel.

That discovery led me to complete the professional coach training, followed by a separate trauma-informed coaching certification. I began blending recovery coaching principles with my lived experience of grief to create my own unique approach to Grief Recovery Coaching - grounded in empathy, safety, and real-world understanding.

I’m currently studying Grief Counselling to deepen my knowledge and ensure I offer the most compassionate, informed support possible.

Through this work, I’ve found community, passion and purpose: helping others find their light in the darkest waves of grief.
